Modified Honda VRX 400 by Custom Bike World

Honda VRX400 is, spiritually at least, a cross between traditional Japanese roadster, such as the 400 Bandit, and the classic Harley-Davidson Sportster. It is a air-cooled V-twin from the in Asia popular Honda Steed 400 Custom. But, Honda being Honda, it has re-engineered the mill in a bid to create more character - in a similar way to when it redesigned its VT1100 Shadow Ace to emulate classic Hogs.

At low revs it's rough and tough, with both bar-ends visibly shaking, but is also respectable torque for a 400cc. Then, in the midrange, the V-twin pulses smooth out to develop regular and smooth power all the way to 8000rpm. According to Honda, irregular, or plain lack of vibration can induce tedium of fatigue, and the VRX's deliberately engineered pulses are, it claims at the time, more comfortable and relaxing, in the same way as birds singing, waves, winds and the human pulse.

This video introduces a coolest modified Honda VRX 400 by Custom Bike World. For detail story about this awesome built, visit http://www.pipeburn.com/home/2016/01/15/honda-vrx-400-custom-bike-world.html

This video shows custom built work of MeanMachines, an Australian shop very familiar to local owners of Bonnevilles and Thruxtons. Builder Wenley Ng has been modifying Triumph ‘modern classics’ for many years now, and is the kind of guy who can rewire a bike with his eyes closed.

Biker Story | Seán Dillon and His Honda C90

Seán Dillo, 36-year-old Irishman from Bridgetown, set new world record by riding his 25 years old Honda C90 from Anchorage, Alaska to Tierra del Fuego, the southernmost tip of the South American mainland. Seàn quit his job in 2011 to begin his adventure ride trip of over 20,000 miles.

Indeed, Seàn is not the only rider in the world who did this kind of adventure. There's a few riders who had done such a trip in the past. Seàn riding story catches motorcycle adventure news coverage because his adventure ride was with his 25 years old Honda C90, a four stroke single cylinder engine from Honda which was purposely designed as a city commuter. However, for Seàn, he didn't agree with this limited concept of this bike. In his interview with the MCN, Seán said: “I chose a C90 because I wanted to pay tribute to what is regarded as the greatest motorcycle in the world, the Honda Cub. The C50s, C70s and C90s were the people’s motorcycles and they had a huge impact on transport in Ireland and the world from the 1960s onwards.”

In his interview with Adventure Motorcycle, when he was asked if he had did many modifications to the bike for this very long journey, Seàn replied “I did make a few modifications to the bike. I fixed on a basket so I can carry a couple of gallons of extra fuel, I’ve got a tank bag, I widened the leg shields for added protection, stuck on some basic panniers and wired in a USB power socket so I can charge my phone—which also doubles as my camera, etc.” Although his custom built story didn't sound like complete tear down, frame modification or engine full overhaul like other famous custom motorcycle builders, yet his simple modification of his Honda C90 had served his adventure purpose to impress the motorcycle adventure explorers.
